My lovely, sweet, gorgeous, blond, tall, slim, easy-going baby sister (I almost wrote sinister here) is having a baby and she just found out it’s a little boy! Hooray! I like being an Aunty.
Got turned down by Every-Day Fiction and Blood Pudding Press this week. Ruff, says Rover.
In other news, one supervisor quit and now managers are considering promoting the gothic, vampire girl (although very sweet and friendly). Vampira is barely out of high school, and while I think it would incredibly easy to take advantage of my two years seniority (is there such a thing anymore?) over her, I don’t any customer would take her seriously. Unless they were afraid of being bitten, that is.
I’m not jealous at all, to be fair the big boss did ask me if I had any interest in the position. Obviously, I didn’t. Five various and random shifts each and every week with more responsibility making the same wage I was making when I was 19? Hmm, maybe I should have thought about it longer…
In other events, one of my best buddies from elementary school on through high school found me out of the blue! Ah Facebook, you are good for that. Luckily my friend isn’t one of those crazy Simpson style avatars. I am starting to wonder if I am a part of a dying parallel universe.
