My Plethora of Black Shoes

I have lots of shoes…in one colour…for one purpose.  They are not all the same exact style but they represent one thing:  months, year, decades of standing on my feet.  Of course, I usually end up throwing out a pile just because they are so ugly-functional and so worn that there is no soul left (ha.).

#516

It is possible to mistakingly get on a public bus of misfortune and have to patiently wait until someone hands you a transfer (either that or trades you seats).

The Kite Runner – Khaled Hosseini

First:  I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of 1975.
Last:  I ran.

Yeah for Homework!

Got my books today for the second half of my Merkin Lit. class.  I’m such a geek, but it’s pretty exciting.  First up is The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James.  Massive book.  Thank goodness there’s a movie to crib off.  Other books include A Farewell to Arms by Hemmingway, The Grapes of Wrath [...]
