Since I’ve begun my new job as a courier, I’ve seem to run into a nice little pool of luck.  I’ve been officially chosen as a finalist for the Calgary Public Library card awareness program and am getting my photo taken (commercial?  possibly) next Saturday as well with all the goodies that go along with that:  $50 gift card, bag full of books which I don’t have to bring back, some other things which I forget.  My daughters, who have a collective fine of over $60 on their cards, told me I should just get my fines erased instead.  My fines?

I also just won advance screening tickets to The Kite Runner which is showing on the 17th.  Sadly, I have other plans (see above daughter), but giving away free stuff to good friends lets me get in touch with my inner Santa.

And then, our table group won something at orientation training today, hooray!  I don’t know what it is yet, but free stuff is good.
